Reflection Sheet
1. How does this assignment relate to the standard?
In VPA class, we created a Sumi-E painting. I used various shades. This is one of our standards and I met it. I also added a background, middle ground, and foreground. This was another one of our standards.
2. What are the steps you took to compete and do well on this assignment?
First, I drew a rough draft. I drew a panda based off a packet Ms. Kohl gave us. Then I drew a background and foreground. Finally, I transferred it to a final draft.
3. This assignment demonstrates the following strengths...
This assignment demonstrates that I know how to use various shades. This also shows that I can draw a Sumi-E style painting. I also demonstrated that I can use a brush to draw various strokes. I can do strokes such as bamboo strokes, leaf strokes, and more.
4. I could have improved my work on this assignment by...
I could've added more detail. I did the bare minimum and didn't achieve beyond what was asked. I basically didn't spend a lot of time on this painting. I could've at least gone back and reviewed my work.
5. How will you apply the skills you learned from this assignment in either the real world when you are an adult or in other classes while you are still a student?
I can apply these skill in my high school. Currently I have a very high chance of going to BSSCA. Once, there I can take a VPA class and I'll already know Sumi-E style from this project.
