Reflection for Advocacy
Reflection Sheet
1. How does this assignment relate to the standard?
This assignment is about advocacy. We read a book about advocacy in the holocaust. This book was called night. We also made what I'm making this reflection for! We made in our internet portfolios a recognizing advocacy tab!
2. What are the steps you took to compete and do well on this assignment?
First we started reading Night. Second, when we were half done with Night, we made recognizing advocacy in the past for our portfolio. In my weebly, I based mine on Alexander Kimel. Then, later on, we made the advocacy in the present. Finally, we made the Video after we finished Night.
3. This assignment demonstrates the following strengths...
This assignment demonstrates many things but I'm only going to name 4. First, This shows that I know about the holocaust. Second, this assignment shows that I know Alexander Kimel and his story. Also, this shows that I can name the improvements I need to make to make myself a better person. Finally, this shows that I can upload a video to weebly!
4. I could have improved my work on this assignment by...
I could have taken more time because I didn't take too long for this assignment. Also I could have made my speech in my video a little bit longer. Another thing that I thing I didn't perfect on is that I didn't find a lot of focal points on Alexander. In fact, the most important part, how he is and advocate, is about his friend Willy!
5. How will you apply the skills you learned from this assignment in either the real world when you are an adult or in other classes while you are still a student?
I can apply these skills in 8th grade because the holocaust is important. We'll probably learn a lot more about the holocaust in history class. Also I'm sure this time we'll go into more detail. If we do, I'm prepared! I don't think I can apply this when I am an adult.
