Standard 1.7.3: Describe the establishments by Constantine.

Constantine was the ruler of the Byzantine Empire. He was a christian and was a part of the Roman Churches after the schism was in place. He painted his armies shields with the christian sign. Even though his army was reluctant to paint the sign in fear of their present Roman god, he eventually got them to do it. Constantine won that war. He stopped attacks on the Christians and played a major role in the spread of Christianity in Rome.
