Math: Reflecting on my School year 1
Standard: 7.EE 4a
Reflection Sheet
1. How does this assignment relate to the standard?
The Equations test was a test to see how well you can do equations. This means that by passing with a 4, which I did, you have mastered the "equations" standard. Since this assignment shows that I have mastered equations, it also shows standard 7.EE 4a. Standard 7.EE 4a says that I know how to do my equations. Again, since this was a test on equations, this was a test on the standard.
2. What are the steps you took to compete and do well on this assignment?
First of all, I showed up to class because you have to be in class to take the test. Then I looked through my test. Whenever I got the weird urge that I got a question wrong I would go back and see if I did it right or not. Lastly, I turned in my assignment. I didn't double check.
3. This assignment demonstrates the following strengths...
This assignment show that I am able to do equations. This also means I am ready for a new semester because Mrs. Ha ( our math teacher) said that we will be using this standard for the whole year. This CAN mean that I am able to do multi- step and single step equations. This is good to know because if you know single step equations you can do the really simple simple step equations. Also it is even better to know the multi-step equations because then you can do the more complicated equations that take up to 2 or more steps.
4. I could have improved my work on this assignment by...
I could have checked my work. Like I said in the ending statement of question 3, I didn't check my work. Not checking my work caused me 2 questions. It is true that I got a 4 regardless but still I wouldn't have missed those simple questions if I just double checked. Next time I'll make sure I double check to see if I got any silly answers.
5. How will yo apply the skills you learned from this assignment in either the real world when you are an adult or in other classes while you are still a student?
I will apply this skill when I am both an adult and when I am still a student. While I am still a student I will use this equations skill for the rest of my life. For example, I can use it in tests like the CST and while we are learning new standards. When I am an adult I can use it in many ways. For Example, if I grow up to own a company, then I need to do really long equations in order to find out the best solutions for sales prices or just some really complicated equations business people seem to always do.
