Stitch Perfect
Reflection Sheet
1. How does this assignment relate to the standard?
Our assignment was the Stitch Perfect assignment. During winter break we were suppose to make a poster on a worksheet that our teacher, Ms. Orellana, uploaded for us. She also uploaded videos explaining how to dilate, translate, and rotate. I made a butterfly that is translated, rotated, and dilated according to the worksheet.
2. What are the steps you took to compete and do well on this assignment?
First, I watched all the videos. Next, I went to the worksheet and analyzed it. I answered the questions on graph paper. I got a poster and glued my work and added subtitles.
3. This assignment demonstrates the following strengths...
This assignment made my dilate, rotate, and translate the butterfly's body and wing patterns. This assignment shows that I can do all of these things fairly well. This also shows that I can do the project during break.
4. I could have improved my work on this assignment by...
There is many things I could've improved on since I got a 2.5 as a grade. First, I didn't dilate properly. Next I rotated wrong and didn't add enough details to the constructed response questions. Finally, I could've made my project more showy and I could've taken more time and consideration to it.
5. How will you apply the skills you learned from this assignment in either the real world when you are an adult or in other classes while you are still a student?
I will apply these skills 2 more times. In the future in school when I take tests on how to dilate, translate, and rotate I will use this to study. This way I will get a better grade. The other way I will use this is on my retest. I got a 2.5 so I will take a retest on this and I will look at my project to see where I need to improve.
