Bubble Gum Physics Lab
Reflection Sheet
1. How does this assignment relate to the standard?
This assignment was based around speed. We needed to time how many times we can chew a bubble gum in 30 seconds. Then we need to calculate what out chomps per second was. Finally we needed to graph this data and see just how fast you chewed.
2. What are the steps you took to compete and do well on this assignment?
First I got a piece of bubble gum from my teacher. Then I chewed it and timed how fast I chewed with a timer. I took turns with my partner using the timer. Next I calculated my overall average speed. Next I did it again at home. Finally I graphed my data.
3. This assignment demonstrates the following strengths...
This assignment demonstrates that I know how to calculate speed. I just have to use the Distance divided by Time formula. This assignment also demonstrates that I can calculate overall average speed and can graph data.
4. I could have improved my work on this assignment by...
I could have improved my work in this assignment by chewing slower. I chewed fast and by the time I did my 3rd round my jaws hurt a lot.
5. How will you apply the skills you learned from this assignment in either the real world when you are an adult or in other classes while you are still a student?
I can apply these skills in the final because I have to calculate average speed and normal speed on the finals. I can use this sheet to study and do well on this standard.
