Reflection Sheet
1. How does this assignment relate to the standard?
This assignment relates to the standard, Adaptations and Natural Selections. This standard talks about natural selection and adaptations animals make and why they do this. This assignment has us taping our thumbs to our hands to make sure we don't use it and compare it to when we do use it in everyday tasks. This relates to the standard because a thumb is an adaptation we wouldn't have unless we needed it. Still, is the thumb necessary? This is the question we answer during our experiment.
2. What are the steps you took to compete and do well on this assignment?
This assignment shows that I can do experiments. It also shows that I am capable of doing everyday tasks without and with thumbs whether I do it slow or not. This assignment is meant to show us that having opposable thumbs can help. I know that now. This assignment also helps us understand more about Natural Selection and adaptations.
4. I could have improved my work on this assignment by...
Taking less time because I took too much time on this assignment. We were suppose to do this in 1 class session but it took me 1 session and a little more to do the opposable thumbs lab. This means I took more time than necessary.
5. How will yo apply the skills you learned from this assignment in either the real world when you are an adult or in other classes while you are still a student?
In this future I won't doubt my thumb. That's all.

2. What are the steps you took to compete and do well on this assignment?
- I came to class,
- I followed Mrs. Juarez's directions for the Lab,
- I wrote down my observations,
- I didn't cheat the experiment,
- I did all the everyday tasks on the assignment twice, once with thumb and without.
This assignment shows that I can do experiments. It also shows that I am capable of doing everyday tasks without and with thumbs whether I do it slow or not.
